THE STORY:

Barrie Beth was a sweet lady who loved God and loved the church. Even though she was extremely poor she would often solicit rides to the church, and even hitch-hiked a few times, so that she could cook, clean and serve in any way she possibly could. Barrie Beth exemplified the light of Christ, and our church was better for having had her in our family.

When Barrie Beth passed away unexpectedly, the depth of her poverty became very clear, and even though she served and attended faithfully, almost nobody knew her and her memorial service was attended by only a handful of people. As a church, we were not okay with this. How could someone so faithful be so disconnected? How could someone who helped everyone else have nobody to help her?

In honor of Barrie Beth, we began this boutique. We wanted to make sure that in at least this one small way, people wouldn’t have to feel like their all alone in their struggles. Providing nice clothes for people isn’t just a labor of love for us, it’s a way for us to love the people God has put in our community just the way they are!

ABOUT THE BOUTIQUE:

Barrie Beth Boutique offers free clothing to anyone who has need of them. There are no requirements to shop with us, just come on out and take what you need!

We are located on the right hand side of the Cornerstone Friends Church building. Just drive around the side and you’ll see our sign above the door!

Our boutique is staffed entirely of volunteers… thanks so much to all of you for all you do!

HOURS OF OPERATION:
Mondays 9 – 11 AM
Thursdays 5 – 7 PM

DONATIONS:

All of the clothes we give away come from generous donors. If you would like to partner with us in this important ministry, feel free to drop off your clean and nice items of clothing, shoes, handbags and jewelry to the boutique entrance on the right hand side of the building during our open hours. You may also drop off your donations in the large blue bin inside the office entrance of the church when the office is open.

PLEASE DO NOT DONATE ANYTHING OTHER THAN CLOTHING, SHOES, HANDBAGS AND JEWELRY
